This is one of them.
I’m incredibly proud to share that High Maintenance Jewellery has been recognised with a Heroes of Industry Award 2026, presented by Innervision Media.
The award has been given to Kate Hunter and High Maintenance Jewellery in recognition of:
“Outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation in jewellery design, inspiring confidence and creating lasting memories through beautifully handcrafted and bespoke jewellery.”
And honestly, those words mean more to me than I can put into words.
More than just jewellery…
When I started High Maintenance Jewellery, I knew I wanted to create beautiful jewellery, but over the years, HMJ has grown into something so much bigger than that.
For me, jewellery has always been about how it makes you feel.
It can mark a milestone, celebrate a relationship, hold a memory, give you confidence, complete an outfit or simply make you feel fabulous on an ordinary day. Every piece I create has a little bit of that thinking behind it.
From bespoke and sentimental pieces created around important memories, to statement jewellery designed to make you feel amazing, I want HMJ to bring a little more confidence, creativity and joy into people’s lives.
A recognition of the journey
Receiving this award feels particularly special because I know just how much work, love, creativity and determination has gone into building HMJ.
There have been exciting highs, difficult days, plenty of late nights, ideas that didn’t quite work, countless parcels packed, jewellery pieces made by hand, events delivered, workshops created and an enormous amount of learning along the way! But I wouldn’t change the journey.
HMJ has evolved, grown and changed over the years, and I’ve continued to push myself creatively and professionally because I genuinely believe that standing still isn’t an option when you’re passionate about what you do.
This award feels like a wonderful acknowledgement of that journey.
The words “inspiring confidence and creating lasting memories” particularly stand out to me. They perfectly describe what I hope HMJ does.
Whether someone is buying a piece for themselves, choosing something meaningful for a loved one, wearing their jewellery on their wedding day or joining one of our creative jewellery-making workshops, I want them to walk away feeling that little bit happier, more confident and more connected to the experience.
That’s what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
And this one isn’t just mine…
Although my name is on the award, HMJ has never been a journey I’ve taken completely alone.
It’s also a reflection of the incredible customers, clients, supporters, collaborators, venues, suppliers, friends and family who have believed in HMJ, recommended me, shared my work, booked workshops, bought my jewellery and encouraged me to keep going.
Every order, every lovely message, every repeat customer, every workshop booking and every person who tells someone else about HMJ has helped shape the business it is today.
So, while I might be the one holding the award… this is a little bit of a celebration for all of us.
What’s next for HMJ?
If there’s one thing this award has reminded me of, it’s that there is still so much more to come.
More jewellery. More creativity. More workshops. More bespoke pieces. More ideas. More memories to create.
And, of course, plenty more HMJ sparkle along the way.
I’m incredibly proud to add the Heroes of Industry Award 2026 to HMJ’s journey and genuinely grateful to Innervision Media for this recognition.
Most importantly, I’m excited to keep doing what I love, creating jewellery that makes people feel something.
Here’s to the next chapter of HMJ.
