An Insight into a Jewellery Designer Programme

I’m so excited to introduce ‘An Insight into a Jewellery Designer’s World!’

A brand new four-session programme designed especially for teenagers who are interested in jewellery, creativity, design and building confidence in their ideas.

This programme gives young people the chance to step into the world of jewellery design and gain a real insight into what it’s like to independently design for a client.

Across 4 guided sessions (liaising directly with Kate at HMJ to pre-book the sessions of dates to suit you), students will explore moodboard creating, client briefs, costing and pricing, sourcing inspiration, the history of jewellery design, and presenting their own finished design work.

Created and delivered by Kate Hunter, Award Winning Jewellery Designer, Business Owner and Educational Workshop Facilitator. With over 10yrs of running the HMJ business brand, Kate won Best Jewellery Business in the Region at the Englands Business Awards in 2025. Kate has worked with many schools, charities and communities delivering innovative workshops. Kate is dbs checked, and has a TQUK Level 2 qualification in Understanding Autism.

Our HMJ programme is designed to be supportive, engaging, educational and confidence-building, while also giving teenagers the freedom to work on their own ideas in between sessions.

Whether they already love being creative or are looking for something different to build their confidence and skills, this is a lovely opportunity to learn in a calm, encouraging and inspiring environment.
